Members are asked to contact the Group Leader before attending a group for the first time to check there is a vacancy.
Groups generally communicate with their members by either email or WhatsApp.
Several groups meet in cafes or bars that are happy to host us provided that most people buy teas or coffees.
There is a small charge for a few groups. This may be to cover the cost of room hire for example.
A few groups meet wholly or partly on Zoom
Occasionally photos are taken of group activities. If you do not want to be in a photo that may be shared weith others, please let your group leader know.
Accessibility: Group Leaders may advise on specific requirements for a member to safely attend a particular group. (If the group you wish to join meets in a member's home, unfortunately accessibility cannot always be guaranteed).
It is an insurance requirement that you are a paid up member of the U3A before joining any activity or interest Group(s), except for a short trial period.
Group members are expected to abide by our overall Code of Conduct
