October 2024 - Crabshakk Botanics

The October meeting of the Sunday Lunch Group was held in Pescado, 18 Vinicombe Street.  Crabshakk Botanics is a Seafood restaurant with a wide range of dishes

It was my first visit to the Crabshakk Botanics and it did not disappoint, it has a well-deserved reputation for great seafood and friendly staff

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the company, we will definitely be looking at a return visit.

We are now planning November and an email should follow in the next few days and, you will be aware, Christmas at the Bothy is already organised.

September 2024 - The Skillet

In September, the Group visited the Skillet in Hyndland Street

August 2024 - Pescado

The August meeting of the Sunday Lunch Group was held in Pescado, 41 Hyndland Street.  Pescado is a Spanish Seafood tapas restaurant with a wide range of dishes

Everything went well on the day and we would like to acknowledge the hard work and service of the new management team at Pescado’s.

As with our previous visits, the food was great and the company even better, everyone had an enjoyable afternoon.

July 2024 - Islay Inn

The July meeting of the Sunday Lunch Group should have been held in Roastit Bubbly Jocks, however, due to unforeseen circumstances we changed venue to the Islay Inn. Argyle Street.

Many thanks to the staff of the Islay Inn who managed to accept our group with very little notice and made us feel very welcome. The Islay Inn has recently been re-furbished and serves traditional Scottish food.

It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a well-stocked bar and excellent food, well worth trying out .

June 2024 - The Prancing Stag

The June meeting of the Sunday Lunch Group was held in the ever-popular Prancing Stag in Jordanhill. The Prancing Stag is a great favourite with our group and this visit did not disappoint.

After the miserable weather we have been having, the meal was a well timed pick me up.

We have booked Roasted Bubbly Jocks on Dumbarton Road for July and the ever-organised Gail has already sent round details
