The crime fiction book group meets at 10.30 am on the third Wednesday of every month at The Clarice Pears Building, 90 Byres Road. Each year, every member suggests three possible options for our reads for the coming year, from which the rest of the group agreed on one. This way, every member of the group is involved in the process.

In February 2025, local author, Andrew Raymond, attended our meeting. One of Andrews's books, 'The Bonnie Dead' was our group's first read and a number of us have gone on to buy many of his other books. In a lively Q&A session, Andrew gave us a real insight into the life of a writer.
